Mallick Mechanical Services sets itself apart from other contractors through its commitment to building strong relationships and supporting the local community. When the manager of Ryan Floors—a local flooring dealer operating in the same business park—needed assistance diagnosing a faulty packaged rooftop unit, he contacted Mallick Mechanical Services.
In initial discussions, it became clear that the rooftop unit in question was unable to maintain the required heating setpoints, which posed a significant concern for storing temperature and humidity-sensitive materials, as was the case with Ryan Floor. During our technician’s on-site inspection of the unit, we discovered that the heat exchanger was severely cracked in several areas. This could result in a dangerous situation where combustion gases leak into the supply air, potentially filling the space with hazardous levels of carbon monoxide.
With this diagnosis occurring at the beginning of the 2024 winter season, Mallick Mechanical Services prioritized sourcing a locally stocked replacement and scheduling the installation as quickly as possible. This was completed just before the season’s first snowfall, preventing any downtime for the business or potential damage to Ryan Floors’ materials.
Although this did not impact the business operations, these emergency repairs and replacements could have been identified and resolved sooner through preventive maintenance, including annual detailed inspections and testing.
In the spirit of supporting our neighbors, we collaborated with local subcontractors such as Hope Builders and Patriot Crane Inc., who have become key partners as we expand our service business. Additionally, we shared the savings from our project performance with the customer, reflecting our commitment to quality service and transparency over profit.
