Building on a Legacy of Excellence
1994
Kenny Mallick, a master plumber and gasfitter, established Mallick Plumbing & Heating, Inc. (MPH) in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with a mission to deliver high-quality plumbing solutions at a fair price to both businesses and residents in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. To help bring this vision to life, Kenny brought on his brother Michael and his father, Ken Senior (fondly known as “Pops”), as the company’s first employees. Together, they laid the foundation for a trusted and respected brand throughout the DMV area.
2010
Kenny Mallick established Mallick Mechanical Contractors, Inc. (MMC) as a separate entity to leverage the company’s expertise and take on more sophisticated and complex HVAC and plumbing projects within the commercial sector, which included new construction and mechanical renovations of higher education, office, tenant fit-outs, hospitals, and intuitional buildings. Some notable projects include: Tyson’s Tower, American University Central Plant, OB4 / Reston Row, Georgetown Day School and multiple Montgomery County Public Schools projects. The company grew to over $40 million in revenue and employed over 100 employees, including welders, HVAC Technicians, installers, project managers, and estimators.
2023
The Mallick brand has consistently adapted to meet the evolving needs of its clients while remaining grounded in its core values. As market dynamics shifted, Mallick Mechanical Contractors, Inc. winded down operations, helped transfer over 100 employees to other reputable companies and transitioned away from large-scale commercial mechanical construction. In November 2023, Zach Coleman, Tyler Stebbing—former project managers who handled some of Mallick Mechanical Contractors’ (MMC) most challenging projects—and Jeff Weir, one of MMC’s longest-serving employees overseeing field operations, joined forces with Kenny Mallick to establish Mallick Mechanical Services (MMS). With over 80 years of combined experience, Zach, Tyler, Jeff and Kenny founded MMS to focus on HVAC special projects, service, replacements, and preventative maintenance. MMS caters to a diverse range of industries, including Mission Critical, Research & Development, Utilities, Education, Government, Mixed-Use/Retail, and Transportation.
Today
Mallick Mechanical Services (MMS) continues to maintain its best in class status for HVAC & Mechanical but with a prioritization of service. With the ability to maintenance and install innovative systems, employ skilled and caring professionals and a commitment to build and establish strong relationships, MMS continues a legacy of excellence.
