Residential Service Technician
Mallick Mechanical Services is hiring Residential HVAC Service Technicians who are looking for fast-paced, high-quality work and who are looking to expand their skillset further. This role requires strong technical competency, customer-facing professionalism, and the ability to work independently in occupied residential environments.
Role Expectations
Troubleshoot and repair all manner of residential HVAC systems: air handlers, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, humidifiers, boilers, etc.
Perform Preventative Maintenances on residential equipment – includes detailed checks, sequence knowledge, and thorough documentation.
(Requires the ability to understand and perform maintenance instructions from the manufacturer as well as executing upon company standard procedures.)
Perform and oversee testing of repaired or newly installed equipment.
Interface professionally with homeowners, property managers, facility staff, and general contractors.
Clearly communicate findings, repair options, timelines, and cost implications to customers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all job sites.
Accurately complete service tickets, work orders, and daily reports using company systems, including clear notes to support billing, warranty claims, and follow-up work.
Participate in training, certifications, and ongoing technical development.
Support company values, culture, and customer service standards.
Regularly lift tools and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Regularly climb ladders, work on rooftops, and access confined spaces.
Regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
On-call or after-hours work may be required based on service demands.
Position Summary
Qualifications
3-5 Years of Residential HVAC Service Experience
EPA Universal Certification
Journeyman License
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Safety-oriented, reliable, team-player mindset
Strong communication skills and technical writing skills
Proficiency in industry standard technology (smartphones, tablets, MS Office, dispatch/reporting software)
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing residential HVAC equipment.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Passion for customer service
Preferred Qualifications
OEM training or factory certifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
