Commercial Project Foreman
Mallick Mechanical Services is hiring a Commercial Project Foreman who is looking for a company that allows them to effectively manage complex and highly technical projects with the resources to do so at the utmost quality. This role is responsible for leading field crews and managing day-to-day jobsite operations on commercial HVAC construction projects throughout the DC Metro area. The Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader, ensuring projects are installed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents, company standards, and local codes. The Foreman acts as the direct link between field labor and project management.
Role Expectations
Lead, supervise and coordinate HVAC installation crews on commercial projects
Assign daily work tasks, manage manpower, and adjust crew resources to meet project schedules.
Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians and apprentices to ensure quality workmanship and productivity.
Maintain jobsite discipline, professionalism, and adherence to company policies.
Execute installations in accordance with contract documents, mechanical drawings, specifications, and approved submittals.Experience Leading Installs / Service
Coordinate daily activities with general contractors, other trades, inspectors, and building representatives.
Participate in jobsite meetings, planning sessions, and coordination walkthroughs.
Identify constructability issues and proactively communicate solutions to project management.
Maintain production targets and manpower efficiency aligned with project budgets.
Track daily labor hours, material usage, and job progress.
Schedule and manage a variety of subcontractors (controls, insulator, sheet metal, etc.)
Accurately manage material/rental procurement and organization.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all job sites.
Participate in training, certifications, and ongoing technical development.
Support company values, culture, and customer service standards.
Regularly lift tools and equipment up to 50 lbs.
Regularly climb ladders, work on rooftops, and access confined spaces.
Regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
On-call or after-hours work may be required based on service demands.
Position Summary
Qualifications
5+ Years of Commercial Foreman Experience
EPA Universal Certification
Journeyman License
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Safety-oriented, reliable, team-player mindset
Strong communication skills and technical writing skills
Proficiency in industry standard technology (smartphones, tablets, MS Office, dispatch/reporting software)
Proven experience leading field crews on commercial HVAC projects.
Strong proficiency in reading drawings, specifications, submittals, and scope documents.
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Passion for customer service
